Biodun Fatoyinbo was born on the 1st of January, 1976 in Abuja. After completing his primary and secondary education, Pastor Biodun secured admission into the University of Ilorin, Kwara state but later rounded up his degree program in the University of Benin, Edo State.

He started the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) in 1999 and now the church has grown to over 20,000 across the different campuses. The headquarters of the church is at Abuja, but there are other branches in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Illorin and Dubai.

Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo is married to Modele Fatoyinbo who is also a senior pastor at COZA and the marriage is blessed with four children.

Last year, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo made the news on a series of scandals surrounding sexual affair with church members Ese Walter, who later confessed that her affair with the pastor was consensual.

He was also under fire by Busola Dakolo, wife to popular Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo. Busola accused the cleric of rape when she was at the age of 17.
