Jackson Ude was an aide of former Pres. Goodluck Jonathan.
He recently bagged Sri Lanka's Peace Ambassador Award.

Who Is Jackson Ude?

Jackson is a Nigerian-American journalist with a difference, and has worked with some of the biggest Nigerian politicians.

He was the a Director of Strategy and Communication to former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Currently based in the United States of America, he has also had a fair share of controversies.

He recently accused the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo of collecting ₦4 billion from Ibrahim Magu, the former EFCC boss.

Osinbajo had replied on Thursday, asking the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, to investigate the allegations. He also requested that criminal proceedings be made against Jackson if the allegations be proven untrue.

This is not the first time however, the journalist will be facing such issues concerning his news.

In 2002, he fled Nigeria after his life was threatened over an investigative news story he had authored and published in the defunct Post Express Newspapers.

The report angered the then Government of former President Olusegun Obasanjo and he had to find his way.

He was granted asylum in the United States of America and continued his journalism career.

He enrolled in the City University of New York, Lehman College, where he obtained two bachelor’s degrees in mass communications, Multi-Lingual Journalism with Special Interest in Chinese Mandarin, Portuguese and French and African American Studies from Lehman College, City University of New York, CUNY.

Ude completed a full-time Master’s degree in Political Management at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada.

He has worked as a civil servant in the United States.
