Born on the 11th of June, 1995, Temilade Openiyi better known as Tems is a Nigerian alt-R&B singer and songwriter.
She recently released a song, Know Your Worth with America singer, Khalid and Davido.
She was born in Lagos, Nigeria and grew up with a single mother. Her father was British but separated from her mother when she was just five.
She discovered her music talent at a very early age after joining her church's choir.
Singer Tems had her early primary education in Lagos, and proceeded to the Dowen College in Lekki. She gained admission after secondary to study Economics in South African university.
When she was younger, she enjoyed listening to Destiny’s child songs like ‘Solider’ and ‘Survivor’. Her favourite artist then was Beyoncé and according to her, she always dreamt of becoming a music icon like her (Beyoncé).
