Eyitayo Jegede is a Nigerian legal practitional and 2019 Ondo State PDP gubernitorial aspirant.
He was the Chancellor, Anglican Communion Of Jalingo and the Anglican Dioceses Of Yola.
Jegede was born to the family of the Odopetu of Isinkan, Akure, late Chief Johnson Bosede, and Mrs C.O Jegede (née Asokeji) from Ipele town, near Owo in Ondo State, Nigeria.
He had his primary education at the St. Stephen’s “SA” Primary School Modakeke, Ile-Ife and secondary at the Aquinas College Akure.

Jegede moved to the University of Lagos for his Law Degree Course between 1980 and 1983 and was posted to Yola, Adamawa State for his National Youth service Corps where he started his career as a legal practitioner.
He qualified as a layer in 1984 after the One Year mandatory programme at the Nigeria Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria and in 1992, was appointed a Notary Public by the Chief Justice of Nigeria.
Eyitayo Jegede worked in the law firm of Murtala Aminu & Co. Yola. 
After twelve years practice in the law firm, six years of which he was the Head of Chambers, he established his own law firm, Tayo Jegede & Co in 1996. He was heading his law firm of Tayo Jegede & Co in Abuja and Yola before he took his previous appointment as Chief Law Officer in Ondo State.

Eyitayo Jegede is married to Eno Jegede.
He contested for the Ondo State 2019 gubernitorial under the PDP and lost.
