‘I Can’t Say The Things Naira Marley Says’ - Wizkid Surprises Fans With New Revelation

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Wizkid has during an interview with Beat FM revealed something intriguing about his music styles, and that of colleague Naira Marley. Speaking on his Made In Lagos album, the Lagos born singer admitted there a lot of things he hears in Naira Marley songs that he wishes he can also say them out boldly in his songs too.
If we go deeper, his audience and that of Naira Marley are different, and it might mean derailing if he decides to add a bit of NM's lyrics to his own songs.
When Wizkid was asked which artists he listens to their songs during his private time, he replied;
There are people you don’t think I listen to that I do. Because you, as a musician, you’d be stupid not to pay attention to words around you, especially the young. There are so many Naira Marley songs I wish I sang.
“But I can’t say the things he says, although they’re things I think about in my head. That’s why I love him.”
