Fidelis Anosike is a Nigerian born media entrepreneur, and the publisher of Daily Times.
He is engaged to Rita Dominic, and their wedding is set to take place anytime in 2021.A graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Creative & Applied Fine Arts from The University of Benin and the OPM Program at Harvard Business School, Mr Fidelis is the founder of the Folio Media Group, the parent company of the Daily Times Nigeria.
The Daily Times Nigeria is one of the oldest (it was founded 1926) and most noteworthy newspaper companies in the country, and in 2009, his company sought to create a distribution that would serve the entire length and breadth of Nigeria, with a goal to deploy 50,000 points of sale across the country to restore Daily Times to its former glory.
Talking about Fidelis' personal life, he lost his father who was a junior police officer with the Nigerian Police Force at a young age.
He founded the Folio Communications Limited when he was just 24 years old, just after graduating from the university.
In 2011, according to news by the PMNewsNigeria, a Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja ordered the Inspector General of Police, Hafiz Riigim to produce the owners of Daily Times Newspaper, Fidelis and Joel Anosike to face trial over the fresh ₦2.5 Billion fraud charges brought against them by the EFCC.
The case was related to shares sold in the Daily Times Nigeria.
He stepped down from being the CEO of the Folio Communications Plc. on the 7th of June, 2020.
