Construction Of Fourth Mainland Bridge In Lagos Will Require The Demolition Of 795 Houses

According to reports reaching Browse.ng, the construction of the Fourth Mainland Bridge in Lagos State will require the demolition of about 795 houses. The information was released by the Federal Government, and the Lagos State Government, also adding that it will be a 37-kilometre bridge.

Authorities indicated that they have made a lot of efforts to reduce the number of affected structures to 795 (from an estimated 9,000), and would ensure that they owners of the affected properties would be adequately compensated.
This was made in a recent submission by the Federal Ministry of Environment in Lagos, Environment Minister, Mamoud Abubakar at the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Stakeholders’ scoping workshop.
