‘Nigerians Are Unappreciative Of Military Efforts To Handle Insurgency’ – Gen. Buratai

Former chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai (retd) has spoken up on the efforts of the military to curb the issue of insurgency in Nigeria, and how the citizens are being unappreciative. The 60-year old Lieutenant General lamented that it is Nigerians who are refusing to be appreciative on the efforts of the military.
He made the information known during a speech at a recent event in Kuta, Osun State.
Speaking, Burutai said;
“At the war front, many things happened and Nigerians are not appreciative. Three times I was ambushed and jumped into the bush with my men and engaged the insurgents.”

Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai (retd) is a former chief of Army Staff, a position he was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari in July 2015.
He was commissioned in 1983 and has had multiple command, administrative, and instructional appointments.
