Wizkid’s ‘Come Closer’ Gets 100 Million Views On YouTube

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid has finally joined the league of Nigerian singers that have garnered 100 million views on YouTube.

The singer will be joining the likes of Davido, Runtown, Psquare, Yemi Alade, Sinach and Tekno who previously achieved the feat, thanks to 'Come Closer', a song he did with Canadian rapper, Drake. 

The song was released as the third single from Wizkid's third studio album, 'Sounds from the Other Side' and marked Wizkid's third official collaboration with Drake.

This is a great achievement for Starboy and Nigeria as a whole. He achieved the feat despite Drake not appearing on the video.

Wizkid also released a redux official video which had garnered over 14 million views as of February 2021.
