Gov Uzodinma Appoints Mazi Uche Ohia (Ochinanwata) As The Commissioner For Tourism Imo State

Hope Uzodinma, the Executive Governor of Imo State has appointed  Mazi Uche Ohia (PhD) Commissioner for Tourism. The development is coming days after the Governor during a radio broadcast on account of his one years in office to Imolites stated thus

I discovered that there is some areas that need professionals to speed up the 3R mantra of my administration and that is why I am adding more manpower”.

Mazi Uche Ohia's appointment is a round peg in a round hole, he is an administrator, agriculturist, legal practitioner, Historian, erudite scholar, writer and philanthropist. A native of Akeme Ohiauchu in Arondizuogu.

The Governor of Imo State, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodinma, has this evening reshuffled his cabinet and designated me as Hon. Commissioner for Tourism in the new cabinet.

The journey has begun.

Gov Uzodinma also appointed Professor Boniface Ginikanwa Nwogu, Commissioner for Science and Technology; Dr Doris Nkiruka Anite, Commissioner for Finance and Coordinating Economy; Dr Bartholomew Chukwunonye, Commissioner for Health.

Swearing In of the new Commissioners will be on Monday the 22nd of March 2021 by 10:00am at the Sam Mbakwe Exco chamber.
