Sen. Abaribe Allegedly Incites IPOB To Attack Orji Uzor Kalu’s Country Home

The Senator representing Abia-South Senatorial District, Enyinnaya Abaribe has been accused of inciting members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra ( IPOB) to attack Igbere, the country home of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu. According to elombah.com, Abaribe, who also serves as the Senate Minority leader made the move over the former governor's allegiance to the North.

A member of IPOB, Chukwuma Obidike who made the revelations to Elombah News correspondent stated that Abaribe is staking a lot of finance to induce the members into carrying out the act.

He said Abaribe told them that an attack on Kalu’s country home would send a good signal to other stakeholders from the South East who have refused to identify with the IPOB.

Meanwhile, Obidike noted that Abaribe’s request is being looked into as many members refused to subscribe to it.

The request wasn’t entirely welcomed as some people felt that IPOB is not an institution to be used in fighting personal vendetta.  Our supreme leader will not even entertain such idea.

Recall that Abaribe and Kalu have been in a face-off in the past months. Kalu had accused Abaribe of poor representation in his 16 years as Senator representing Abia South Senatorial zone.

His allegation that Enyinnaya Abaribe couldn’t build a single project in Abia South including his village in Umuekwensu stirred the polity in Abia.

In his response,  Abaribe had told Kalu that he was not in a position to complain about what he (Abaribe) does for his constituents,  adding that it was the concern of his constituents and not Kalu.
