IPOB Urges Other Tribes To Join In Enforcing The October 1st Sit At Home Order

Following the announcement made last week by the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), making a compulsory sit-at-home order for the South East region of the country and removal of all Nigeria’s national flag on Nigeria’s Independence day, 1st October 2021, it has solicited other ethnic groups, mostly the Yoruba Nation and the Middle Belt to join in enforcing the order in their regions.

It is noted that agitators in the South West region of the country also seek for a separate nation from Nigeria, the Oduduwa Republic, and the Middle Belt Region has also considered unfair treatment from the Federal Government, accusing the Federal government of favoring the Northerners and the Fulani Herdsmen against the region.

The sit-at- home order was made as a form of protest for the Federal Government to yield to their demands, which is to free and exonerate their leader, Mazi Nnamdi kanu, of all labeled charges against him, and also to honor victims of terrorism, bandits and the herdsmen across the country.

In the media statement released by one of the leaders of IPOB, Emma Powerful, he stated: “We, the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), request our brothers and sisters in Oduduwa Republic and Middle Belt who suffer similar fate with us to join hands in sympathy protest. All lovers of freedom including Christian communities in the North and other parts of Nigeria, who receive humiliation, intimidation and killings from terrorists, bandits and murderous herdsmen should understand that time has come for all victims of impunity and atrocities to unite together for resistance”.

They Are Importing Arms To Attack Us – IPOB Replies Shekau

Shekau had accused IPOB of attacking the people of the South –South and South East regions, and saying they are not working for the people. But this was debunked in a  press statement made by Emma Powerful, representing IPOB. According to Emma, he said IPOB is not neither a violent group nor a terrorist group. He further said, “Contrary to the vomit by this inconsequential fellow, IPOB has no plans to attack South Easterners and South Southerners. In the first place, violence is not part of our philosophy. Assuming we want to resort to violence, how can we attack our people whom we are fighting for? It does not make any sense.

But we know their motive for peddling this falsehood as our intelligence report confirms the importation and stockpiling of arms from Pakistan for their planned invasion of Biafraland but we are waiting for them”.
