Born in the year 1940, Sheikh Ahmad Muhammad Ibrahim Bamba was a renowned Islamic scholar.
He is a former lecturer at the Department of Arabic in the Bayero University Kano before he resigned to concentrate on his Islamic preachings, particularly, the teachings of Muwatta Malik and Sahih Bukhari.

Dr Ahmed had his early education in Ghana and completed it in Saudi Arabia. He got his doctorate degree from Bayero University in Kano.
Not much is known about his family life, but Dr Ahmed reportedly had three wives and about 30 children.

He passed away on the 7th of January, 2022 at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital after suffering from a protracted illness.
