The Legendary Hollywood actress, Betty White, who thrilled her fans as Rose Nylund In seven seasons of The Golden Girls, dies on December 31st, 2021, exactly 17 days to her 100th birthday.

Betty White's start in Hollywood began with the 1945 short film Time to Kill and the TV series Hollywood on Television in 1949.


She would later get her major act in the series Life With Elizabeth, appearing in more than 40 episodes and starring in the titular role for their years.


Betty continued to delight her viewers in the series The Mary Tyler Moore Show and later, in the Betty White Show.


She began her major and legendary role as Rose in the Golden Girls and it ran until 1922.


She thrilled her viewers even more in the film The Proposal in 2009 where she starred alongside Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock.


The series Hot in Cleveland put her back on TV in the following year and after her death on December 31st, 2021, her co-star, Valerie Bertinelli, took to Twitter to honor her friend, 


 "Rest in peace, sweet Betty," she wrote. "My God, how bright heaven must be right now."


The death was confirmed by her agent, Jeff Witjas who told BBC News he thought Betty White would live forever even though she was about to be 100.


 "I will miss her terribly and so will the animal world that she loved so much. I don't think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden. She believed she would be with him again." He added.

Betty White Dies at 99, Exactly 17 Days to 100

Earlier in 2021, the actress took to Instagram to celebrate her 99th birthday on January 17th, with the caption, 


"It's my 99th birthday which means I can stay up as late as I want without asking," alongside video clips from her series, The Pet Set.


Four days ago, the actress took to Twitter to announce her excitement about clocking 100.


“My 100th birthday. I cannot believe it is coming up, and People Magazine is celebrating with me!” she wrote on Tuesday.


She was planning a big birthday event in collaboration with People Magazine. And while featured on the cover story of People Magazine's December issue, she said she felt,  “so lucky to be in such good health and feel so good at this age.”

Betty White's fans and other celebrities are taking to social media platforms to honor her in death.
