Most Rev. Daniel C. Okoh Daniel Okoh Biography and Educational Background

Archbishop Daniel Okoh was born on the 12th of November, 1963 in Kano to Christian parents. He is a native of Ndoni in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers.

After completing his primary education, he enrolled at Dennis Memorial Grammar School in Onitsha, Anambra for his secondary education. He thereafter enrolled at the University of Port Harcourt (UniPort), graduating in 1988 with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Education.

Archbishop Okoh also holds a diploma in Theology from Christ Holy Church Seminary, Onitsha.

Career

Most Rev. Daniel Okoh is the General Superintendent of Christ Holy Church International – an African Independent Church.

He has for over 20 years, been actively involved in ecumenical relations and interfaith dialogue in and outside Nigeria through the following positions: National President of OAIC (Nigeria Region) (2005 – 2014); National Vice-President of Christian Association of Nigeria (2007 – 2013), Member, Governing Council of Good News Theological College and Seminary Accra, Ghana; Member of the Board of African Council of Religious Leaders – Religions for Peace, International Chairman of the Organisation of African Instituted Churches (OAIC); Member, Nigeria Inter-Religious Council (NIREC); former member, and Board of Directors of Inter-Faith HIV/AIDS Coalition of Nigeria.

In the area of Politics and Governance, Archbishop Okoh was one of the six delegates that represented the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the National Political Reform Conference of 2005 organised by the Federal Government of Nigeria. He served on the board of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) as an Institutional representative of the Christian Association of Nigeria from 2009 – 2011.
