#MadeInLagos: Why Wizkid Snubbed Davido After Congratulating Him On His New Album

It is no longer news that Nigerian singer, Wizkid has released his long-awaited Made In Lagos and it wasn't up to the expectations of his fans. You know, when an album is given such a title, many people will be expecting something they can vibe to, you know that kind of Davido and Burna Boy's afrobeat. But the fans were (kind of) disappointed when it finally hit the stores and they discovered the big difference between 'Made In Lagos' and 'Made For Lagos'.

I won't say that the song was a flop, I enjoyed most tracks there, but you know, I had to dig up comments online to know what people really thought about it before writing this.

With the album trending on the major social networking apps and fellow celebrities showing the only Starboy love by sharing the project, it was discovered that Wizkid deliberately decided to ignore his closest rival in the industry, Davido who used his Instagram and Twitter handles to promote the song.

This isn't a case right? Yeah, it wasn't, until we discovered that he acknowledged tweets from celebrities like Burna Boy, Yemi Alade and Patoranking.

We won't assume that Wizkid is yet to see the posts, as Davido currently has the highest number of social media followers on Instagram. The post has also gotten more than 50 thousand retweets on Twitter, so the chances of him not seeing it is very slim.

So what happened?
While the artists haven't been caught up in any fights of recent, things might not really be cool between them. Remember in the Davido's interview with BBNaija’s Ebuka Obi Uchendu when he revealed that he (Wizkid) and Burna Boy are conspiring against him?

Quoting the Fem crooner; 'That joining P together, that shit lame bro, that shit wack I can’t even lie. Joining to come and, what are you planning? We are all here, we are trying to take this music higher. Nobody will gang up against me, nobody for this Nigeria industry weh go gang up against me weh go work. Cos I don’t have a bad heart to anybody. I can’t lie, it hurts me sometimes'

Considering the above comments, Wizkid might have decided to keep his distance from Davido, who knows? What do you think?
