Born on the 19th of February 1933, Lateef Olufemi Okunnu is a Nigerian lawyer and politician.
He is a former pro-chancellor and chairman governing council of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi.
Okunnu was born in Lagos State, Nigeria and had his primary school education at the Ansar-U-Deen School, Alakoro.

He later attended Kings College, still in Lagos and travelled to the United Kingdom to study law at the University of London. 
After his education, he returned to Nigeria and was called to the bar in 1960 and appointed Federal Commissioner for Works and Housing in 1967.
Lateef Olufemi Okunnu served for seven years and was later appointed as Deputy Legal Adviser to the National Party of Nigeria (N.P.N.) in 1981.
He has served in a lot of other capacities at the Federal level.
