Khadijah Okunnu is a young popular Nigerian media personality famous for her works and her aspirations to run for the Nigerian presidency in 2023.


She was born in Lagos in 1993 into a wealthy family with a legacy of public service. She is also the founder of Alice Media Solutions.

Education

Khadijah Okunnu-Lamidi gained her primary school education from 1986-1994 at Lagos Staff School and Childville School Yaba.


From 1994 to 2000, she attended Atlantic Hall Maryland for her high school.


After high school, she attended the University of Bolton RAK Campus in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) where she pursued a degree in Business Management (Hons). 


Also, she attended the prominent Heriot-Watt University in Dubai where she pursued a Master's degree in Strategic Project Management (SPM).


After her Master's degree, Khadija moved back to Lagos state where she underwent the required NYSC program and there, she taught Chemistry and Physics at a Lagos State Government School as her primary assignment.

He was a former Federal Commissioner of Works and Housing in Nigeria from 1967 to 1974 and he has records of groundbreaking infrastructural developments and credits to his name.


Meanwhile, Khadijah's mother's name is Arinola Omolu. She is a popular businesswoman of Ago-Owu pedigree. 


Khadijah is the only child of her parents, however, she has step-siblings from both her paternal and maternal sides

Khadijah's career began at 16 when she landed her first job at The Motherless Babies Home, Lekki, Lagos Stae, Nigeria, at 16. It was there she learned about community influencing.


Later, she worked for four years at the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) which after she went into entrepreneurship and founded her advertising agency, Slice Media Solutions. 


Khadijah Okunnu became the first female who was featured in an Out-Of-Home magazine in Nigeria as a cover story. Also, she has been ranked as one of the top 50 Women in Marketing and Communications in Nigeria.


Khadijah also doubles as a remember of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).


She is famous for her gender equality promotion and youth development advocacy and she has facilitated some social impact initiatives such as:

In her declaration of interest, Khadijah added that the Nigerian youths under the age of 30 have borne the most impact of the bad governance in Nigeria, unemployment topping the list of all.


She said: “I believe in the possibilities Nigeria holds; that is why I have taken this first step, not because there are no fears, but the will to bring about the Nigeria we all wish, hope, and believe we can make a reality together.”
